Designed for studying the foundations of emotion. The busts clearly show the action of muscles in the forehead, brow, eyes, mouth, and chin. Recreated exactly from a live actor by digital 3d capture by Gentle Giant Studios. I then took the digital output which had a fuzzy finish similar to sandstone and refined the pieces in wax to bring them to life.
